Ware Malcomb Announces Completion of New IBG Industrial Building
IRVINE, CA Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, announces completion of Investment Building Group's new industrial building located at 3790 De Forest Circle in Jurupa Valley, California. Ware Malcomb served as the project architect and also provided interior design services.
The new building consists of a 200,731-square-foot warehouse with a 32-foot clear height, 2 office pods totaling 5,500 square feet, and a 7,000-square-foot bonus mezzanine. The building was awarded LEED-NC Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council by including several sustainable features such as water use reduction through efficient landscaping, alternative energy charging stations, LED site lighting, a reflective TPO roof system, and rooftop photovoltaic panels. The general contractor for the project was RM Dalton Corporation.
"This is a highly visible industrial building with 800 feet of freeway frontage, so we wanted the design to be distinct," said Tom Myers, Ware Malcomb Principal, Commercial Architecture. "By incorporating many sustainable features into the design, we hope to provide future tenants with a state-of-the-art space that meets their environmental leadership goals now and in the future."
Ware Malcomb has designed more than 500,000,000 square feet of industrial space ranging from small industrial buildings for sale to large distribution buildings of more than a million square feet. The firm's industrial clients include leading real estate industrial developers, REITS and corporate clients on projects throughout North America. In 2013, Ware Malcomb was a winner in the Distribution/Fulfillment Center of the Future national design competition by NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association.
Other significant industrial projects designed by Ware Malcomb in the Inland Empire include work for clients such as LBA Realty, Cushman & Wakefield, The Koll Company and Turner Development.
