Granite's Powell Appointed to Water Quality Control Board

WATSONVILLE, CA Granite Construction Inc. announces that Jayne Powell, Environmental and Aggregate Resources Manager for Granite, has been appointed by California Governor Jerry Brown to the Colorado River Basin Regional Water Quality Control Board, one of the state's nine Regional Water Boards.
Powell has been an environmental and aggregate resources manager at Granite since 2007. As a board member, she will be responsible for making critical water quality decisions for the region, including setting standards, issuing waste discharge requirements, determining compliance with those requirements, and taking appropriate enforcement actions. Once the Senate confirms her, she will serve on the board for four years.
The Colorado River Basin Region covers approximately 13 million acres in the southeastern portion of California and includes Imperial County and portions of San Bernardino, Riverside, and San Diego Counties.
