Hurvitz Joins HED as Healthcare Studio Leader

SAN FRANCISCO, CA Harley Ellis Devereaux (HED) announces Timothy Hurvitz, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, joins the firm as Associate, Healthcare Design Studio Leader. 

Based in HED's San Francisco, California, office, Hurvitz will lead all aspects of the firm's Healthcare Studio in the Bay Area.

With more than a decade of experience working on healthcare facilities as an Architect, Medical Planner and Project Captain, Hurvitz has a demonstrated ability to lead a wide variety of healthcare projects ranging in scope and size. Hurvitz brings a diverse portfolio to the firm with experience in all healthcare project types and has a particular interest in Lean Design and Construction. Hurvitz has worked on a number of large-scale projects in the healthcare sector, including the expansion and renovation of the 215,000-square-foot Dignity Health Medical Group, Sequoia Hospital Pavilion in Redwood City, California, a 185,000-square-foot expansion of the Orthopedic Hospital at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, California, and the 450,000-square-foot, 94-bed acute care hospital for Mercy Gilbert Medical Center in Gilbert, Arizona.

"Hurvitz was previously with HED from 2011 - 2014 where he worked with many local clients, including Sutter Health, Palo Alto Medical Foundation, El Camino Hospital, Dignity Health Medical Group - Sequoia, UCSF Medical Center and more. We're excited to have him back on the team."

Prior to joining HED, Hurvtiz most recently served as Architect and Medical Planner in Healthcare at ZGF Architects in Seattle, Washington, where he working on several large-scale projects, including the 640,000-square-foot Teck Acute Care Centre at BC Children's Hospital and BC Women's Hospital + Health Centre in British Columbia.
