AUSTIN, TX — Cedar Park-based construction company, American Constructors, presented a check for $70,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of the Austin Area (BGCAA). The funds were raised through the company's 2021 Clay Shoot fundraiser, a signature event that has supported BGCAA for a full decade.

Following remarks from BGCAA CEO Misti Potter and American Constructors CEO Marty Burger, club kids engaged in an interactive construction activity that highlighted the importance of coming together as a team and working toward a common goal.

“We are so grateful to all our friends and partners that joined us in 2021 to make this donation possible,” Burger said. “The mission of the Boys & Girls Club is very near to our hearts, and we are proud to invest in the future of Austin's youth. We are excited to continue to give back to this incredible organization as they work to change the lives of students across Central Texas.”

All proceeds from the Clay Shoot go directly to the Boys & Girls Club's efforts to provide focused academic support, promote healthy lifestyles, build leadership skills and prepare youth for their future in college, career, and beyond.

Since the inaugural Clay Shoot in 2012, American Constructors has raised more than $400,000 for BGC Austin. The company will host its 10th annual event on October 21, 2022, on the heels of the 40th anniversary of its founding.
