American Society of Concrete Contractors to Hold 17th Annual Conference in Charlotte this September
ST. LOUIS, MO — The American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), headquartered in St. Louis, will hold its 17th annual conference from September 20-23 at the Sheraton Charlotte Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina. Concrete contractors, manufacturers, designers and other industry professionals will gather for three days of educational events and networking.
Industry experts including Ken Hover, Cornell University; Anirban Basu, Sage Policy Group; Jon Belkowitz, Intelligent Concrete; and Chris Sullivan, ChemSystems, will offer seminars on critical industry topics. Seminar tracks include tech, business management, safety, business field level and decorative and polished concrete.
Seminar topics include "Evaporation Retarders & Finishing Aids," "Drones in Concrete Contracting," "Surface – Create vs. Heart Crete: A Critical Difference," "Concrete 101 for Polishers" and "Pain Management."
Attendees can take advantage of the ACI Flatwork Finisher Certification and the ACI Decorative Concrete Flatwork Finisher Certification class and exam offered on September 20.
The Decorative Concrete and Concrete Polishing councils will install an architectural exposed finish hardscape at the hotel ballroom entrance. It will be a three part process: placement of specialty aggregates, placement of polishable overlay on Friday, and exposed slab reveal and complete polishing process on Saturday morning.
Additional opportunities include a golf tournament, NASCAR Experience at Concord Raceway, Mint Museum Tour and foraging with an executive chef.
