Berger is responsible for evidence-based strategy development that considers industry trends, hospital and health system strategic and financial goals, and the needs of the community. She will leverage her experiences to collaboratively develop new solutions that support and advance providers navigating change.
“I have had the benefit of working with providers of various scale and focus and am able to appreciate the pain points they share as well as their own uniqueness as caregivers,” Berger said. “My work in strategic planning may not be in direct patient care, but I help improve the systems that support the birth of a child, the care of someone with chest pains in the emergency department, and the treatment of people with cancer. It takes all of us adding our expertise to develop the best system of care possible.”
Prior to joining HDR, Berger owned and led a business consulting firm with expertise in strategy development, data analysis, and project management working with multiple industry segments, including architecture, design, and construction; medical equipment planning; hospital and physician providers; commercial real estate; and health care research.

Berger earned both her Bachelor of Science in health care management from the University of Alabama and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
