Braun Intertec Welcomes Fortson as a Senior Scientist in Austin

AUSTIN, TX — Braun Intertec announces Patrick Fortson, PG has joined its Austin, Texas, office as a Senior Scientist. Fortson brings more than 15 years of experience managing and leading soil and groundwater assessment and remediation projects to Braun Intertec, a 100 percent employee-owned geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, and testing firm.

“We are thrilled to welcome Patrick to our environmental consulting team,” said CEO Jon Carlson. “He brings years of experience as an environmental consultant leading projects for industrial facilities, commercial properties, and large military installations. He is a great addition to our team of employee-owners.”

As a Senior Scientist, Fortson will focus on managing and mentoring up-and-coming Braun Intertec environmental scientists on their career paths. He also will lead projects nationwide using his experience with risk-based federal and state regulatory programs. Fortson has experience with various regulatory programs, including Superfund/CERCLA, RCRA, Texas Risk Reduction Program, Texas Petroleum Storage Tank, Oklahoma Brownfields Program, and Florida Petroleum Restoration Program.

Braun Intertec environmental consultants specialize in environmental site investigations, soil and groundwater assessments, contaminated site remediation and closure, real estate due diligence, industrial health, safety, and compliance, and natural resources services. The company utilizes scientists and engineers to manage projects focusing on quality, budget, and schedule.
