DETROIT, MI — With more than 20 years of experience, Cyrill Weems joins Burns & McDonnell to lead and support infrastructure development in Michigan. Bringing with him an extensive background in transportation and water, Weems will be key to the firm's continued success and service expansion into a number of industries, strengthening the firm's partnerships in Detroit.

“With our team already holding a strong presence in the transportation and water industries, I have no doubt Cyrill will continue our track record of success,” said Scott Newland, Senior Vice President at Burns & McDonnell. “The new infrastructure law showcases how critical investing in smart infrastructure is right now, and Cyrill is a leader positioned to help us continue to meet the infrastructure needs of Detroit and southeast Michigan.”

Weems brings with him extensive process knowledge and experience in client management, risk management, project management, construction management, and program management. Additionally, Weems has background supporting and delivering projects across the United States and abroad, which will be especially beneficial for the global firm. A former professional football player for the Detroit Lions, Weems holds a Bachelor of Science in construction administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

“I am incredibly excited to be joining a firm that holds such a strong commitment to client success and deep ties to Detroit,” Weems said. “Infrastructure is a vital foundation of Detroit's community, and it's exciting to be part of the team leading the efforts to keep transportation and water infrastructure reliable for our residents.”
