HOUSTON, TX — Cadence McShane Construction Company has completed the construction of Parc 59, a new speculative industrial development in Humble, Texas, delivered on behalf of Jackson-Shaw.

Designed by Powers Brown Architecture, the development consists of two single-story, tilt-wall buildings totaling 279,632 square feet. Building 1 is an 83,436-square-foot, rear-load building with a 28-foot clear height and two drive-in doors. Building 2 is a 196,196-square-foot, cross-dock building featuring a 32-foot clear height with four drive-in doors. Combined, the buildings offer 65 external docks and 437 parking spaces.

As a design-build job, Cadence McShane was engaged by the client prior to finalizing the design. This allowed the team to provide cost estimating and value engineering services, thereby finding opportunities for cost savings and providing more flexibility for modifications to the project during construction.

"We thoroughly enjoyed the experience of working on this great design-build project with our partners at Jackson-Shaw and Powers Brown Architecture and feel it can be measured as a success by all parties involved," said Colby Rose, Vice President and General Manager of Cadence McShane's Houston office. "Parc 59's building configurations and features, along with its convenient location just off of Highway 59, make this development ideal for a variety of industrial users."

This is one of five industrial projects that Cadence McShane has completed in the past 12 months and was delivered on time and on budget.
