CHARLESTON, SC — Kevin Chafin has joined Stanley Consultants as a Client Service Manager in the firm’s Federal Group. Based in Charleston, South Carolina, Chafin will work closely with Department of Defense clients, focusing on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) locations in the Southeast as well as U.S. Navy locations worldwide. Founded in 1913, Stanley Consultants provides engineering, environmental and construction services to federal clients.

“We are very excited to have Kevin on board. He understands our primary client base, extends our reach to key clients and will provide excellent client service to our NAVFAC and USACE customers,” said Michelle French, Vice President and Federal Market Leader with Stanley Consultants.

During Chafin’s 30-year career he has served in active duty and in the reserves for the United States Air Force, as an Architect at the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) and as an Architectural Principal for two small architecture and engineering firms providing design services to the USACE, NAVFAC, the General Services Administration and the U.S. Coast Guard.

“I am excited to continue serving the nation’s soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines alongside the Stanley Team around the world,” Chafin said. “Stanley Consultants’ outstanding reputation and history of success in the federal industry make it a natural fit for my passion and priorities.”

A Registered Architect, Chafin has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in architecture from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Chafin has been a LEED Accredited Professional since 2004 and earned the BD+C Specialty in August 2018. He is a Fellow with the Society of American Military Engineers, currently serving as Past President of the Savannah Post.
