Chen Joins HNTB as Project Director

LOS ANGELES, CA — Steven J. Chen, PE, joins HNTB Corporation as Project Director in the firm's Los Angeles, California, office. He is responsible for assisting the transportation group's delivery of roadway design for the City of Los Angeles and other local agencies.
“Steven has an impressive background in both engineering and management,” said Wayne Feuerborn, HNTB West Division President. “With his familiarity of Southern California and extensive experience with everything from public works to airport projects, he will be an invaluable asset to HNTB and our clients.”
Chen has more than 30 years of experience as a Civil Engineer working with the public sector. Most recently, he was Principal Civil Engineer and Division Manager for the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering and worked in both stormwater and streets programs. He also spent time with Los Angeles World Airports managing large-scale construction projects at multiple airports.
Chen received a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from The University of Washington and an Master of Business Administration from UCLA Anderson School. He is a registered Professional Civil Engineer in the state of California.
