City Electric Supply Receives 2021 TITAN Business Award

DALLAS, TX — TITAN Business Awards (TITAN) recently announced the list of the 2021 Season 1 winners, and City Electric Supply (CES) announces that it walked away with a victorious win. The electrical wholesale distributor received the platinum award in the Company & Organization - Construction Category, Family Business with Family Values.

"To receive an award in recognition of our family values is an incredible feeling," said Thomas Hartland-Mackie, CEO and President of CES. "From our company's inception, we've strived to work with integrity and do what's right for our people, our customers, and our communities. It's an honor to receive this award, not just for my family, but for the 7,000-plus families who have chosen to work with us and embody our values every day."

CES, an international electrical wholesale distributor, was founded by Tom Mackie in the United Kingdom in 1951. The company's very first branch was located in an old barn with a desk fashioned from an old door supported by two tea chests and two columns of red bricks. After more than three decades of growth in the UK, the company expanded into the United States, opening its first branch location in Tampa, Florida, in 1983. Just one year later, CES celebrated the opening of its 10th U.S. branch. Today, CES operates over 500 U.S. branches and more than 1,000 worldwide with operations in nine countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Spain, Australia, Ireland, China, and Turkey.

CES takes pride in being a family-owned business that exemplifies family values. In 2016, City Electric Supply created CES Cares, the social impact division that serves as the umbrella for all the philanthropic, charitable, and volunteer efforts in which the company and its employees participate. Since its inception, CES Cares has donated over $10 million to charitable organizations, partnering with local, national, and international charities to help tackle issues that impact families and children.

TITAN received more than 650 nominations from 28 countries, including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Singapore, India, and Ireland. The winners were chosen based on the average scores provided by the TITAN jury members, made up of professionals from the international business scene. Each nominee was judged and evaluated on the criteria determined by the merits of the TITAN Business Awards. Among the winning individuals and organizations are L&T Technology Services, Nestlé India, Kathy Doran Intuitive Business Consultant, and Ariel Group.

"Our jury members' extensive backgrounds in the business field ensure that the subjective qualities, such as business acumen and innovative business concepts, are part of the consideration," said Kenjo Ong, CEO of IAA. "I hope that we are able to witness the creation of history, where the winners of this season set the bar for future business endeavors to follow."

The Titan Award caters to small-and-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), large, public, and private organizations, as well as other business professionals worldwide. IAA hopes to honor the achievement and nurture excellence in every aspect of work life, from customer service and management to human resources and more.

"We celebrate the remarkable Titan-like achievements of a wide range of organizations, from all industries, as well as their efforts to better both the workspace and company culture," Ong said. "Persevering through adversities and hardships, we aim to inspire and embolden all businesses, being the advocate of integrity for all corporate professionals worldwide."

IAA, established in 2015, is the organizer of MUSE Creative Awards, MUSE Design Awards, Vega Digital Awards, NYX Marcom Awards, NYX Game Awards, NYX Video Awards, TITAN Property Awards, LIT Talent Awards, MUSE Photography Awards, and MUSE Hotel Awards. The mission is to honor, promote, and encourage professional excellence, from industry to industry, internationally and domestically, through award platforms that are industry appropriate. IAA assembled TITAN Business Awards to bring attention to the international business industry and promote their strategies, cultures, and teamwork to the world.
