Columbia Names Bill Carpenter Director of Preconstruction and Estimating

NORTH READING, MA — Columbia, a construction management firm, announces the promotion of Bill Carpenter to the role of Director of Preconstruction and Estimating. Carpenter, who first joined the North Reading-based firm in 2005, assumes his duties immediately.
“I am excited to announce the promotion of Bill Carpenter to Director of Preconstruction and Estimating for Columbia,” said Columbia Senior Vice President Dave Stodden. “Throughout Bill’s 14 years with Columbia, he has continually searched for and implemented improvements geared toward creating high-performing teams and exceptional client experiences. His drive to continuously improve, develop meaningful internal and external relationships and push for collaboration have made him a natural leader within this group and in the company.”
Carpenter has overseen complex preconstruction and estimating work for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Carbonite, Google, Harvard Business Publishing, JPMC, MIT, Microsoft, Sonos, Wayfair and more.
“The process of preconstruction and estimating sets the foundation for a project. When it’s done right, it allows everything that follows to move along smoothly and successfully,” said Columbia President Shaun Lover. “Bill’s leadership in this arena has been exemplary, and his promotion is well earned.”
