Darland Construction Begins Work on Two New Projects in Omaha
August 1, 2018
OMAHA, NE — Darland Construction Company recently began work on a 16,600-square-foot development for Pinnacle Bank and the 11,990-square-foot Nelson Mandela Early Childhood Development Center in North Omaha.
Mixed-Use Development for Pinnacle Bank
Darland is underway on a new, mixed-use development anchored by Pinnacle Bank. The new building will feature a 7,500-square-foot main level with a retail bank branch and space for one additional tenant. The second level will include more than 9,000 square feet of additional, leased office space.
The new bank branch will replace Pinnacle's existing location at the southwest corner of the same intersection. A modern design and high-end finishes will call attention to one of Omaha's busiest intersections. The design for the project was done by Avant Architects. The project is set for completion in spring 2019.
Nelson Mandela Early Childhood Development Center
Darland has partnered with Nelson Mandela Elementary to build an early childhood center adjacent to the existing K-4 school in North Omaha. The nearly 12,000-square-foot building will include six classrooms, indoor and outdoor play areas, a warming kitchen and various staff offices. The design for the project was done by Holland Basham Architects. Construction is moving forward and the center is expected to open in January 2019.
