Despite the COVID-19 health pandemic and economic uncertainty, Owner Giovanni Albanese proceeded with adding a third location. The new store is ideally situated to serve its Doosan customers in the south shore of Massachusetts and nearby areas, including Cape Cod and the surrounding islands.
Located minutes off Route 24 at Exit 17a, the building has high visibility to many vehicles that pass by daily. Gilda noted that before opening the store, she and Giovanni had several Doosan machines parked outside. They received interest from potential customers even before they formally opened the dealership.
Giovanni completed a renovation to the building to get it ready, both inside and outside. The renovated building includes more than 26,000 square feet; five overhead, drive-in service bays; two loading docks; and a wash bay. A service technician and truck are based at the new location and will serve Doosan customers in the surrounding areas.
The new Brockton location sells Doosan articulated dump trucks; crawler, wheel, and mini excavators; log loaders; and wheel loaders. Customers can rent Doosan machines at the dealership, as well as buy genuine Doosan parts.

The next year, the company added a second full-service location in Bow, New Hampshire. Equipment East is the authorized Doosan dealer for New Hampshire. The store in Bow provides Doosan machine sales, parts, and rental.
“It’s been exciting to play a role in watching its acceptance and the machine population in our area grow,” Giovanni said. “We’re giving the major players good competition. We are a force to be reckoned with. We have a machine that is equal or better than the competition, and we are glad to be part of it.”
The past seven years have been an opportunity for both Equipment East and Doosan to grow their heavy construction equipment footprint in Boston and the surrounding areas.
“We both still have a long way to go, but it’s been a fantastic journey,” Giovanni said. “Watching the brand grow will be exciting as we continue to work toward achieving our goals.”
Equipment East has been recognized by Doosan as a top performing dealer in five different years since 2013. To qualify as a top performing dealer, dealers must excel in sales, parts, and service capabilities in their respective markets.
