FORT WAYNE, IN – Primary Engineering, Inc. has hired electrical engineer Ken Godwin and electrical designer Kolton Hempton to their team.
Godwin has been in the electrical engineering field since 1992 as a consultant and electrical product manufacturer's representative. His expertise is on electrical power distribution, lighting, life safety and telecommunications.
With a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, he is a registered professional engineer in the State of Indiana.
During his career, Godwin has had the roles of Principal, Director of Engineering, and Director of Electrical Engineering. He has designed, engineered, specified and commissioned electrical systems for a wide variety of building projects and customers including those at Purdue University, Indiana University, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Eskenazi Health, St. Vincent Health, and various school corporations.
In addition to electrical engineering responsibilities, Godwin has served as the Project Manager for the electrical engineering efforts for educational, institutional, municipal and commercial projects.
Hempton started working in the design and construction field in 2014 and has since developed skills in lighting and power design. He has worked on many projects associated with K-12 schools and universities as well as healthcare, commercial, industrial, and correctional facilities.
Hempton received his associate's degree in electrical engineering technology from Purdue University Fort Wayne and will be completing his bachelor's degree this year. His future plans involve taking the fundamentals of engineering and professional engineering exams.
