RICHARDSON, TX — Halff Associates, Inc. (Halff), an engineering/architecture consulting firm, announces the acquisition of the Tavares, Florida-based firm BESH, Inc. BESH will do business as BESH Halff.

BESH is a multidiscipline civil engineering firm under the leadership of Principals Duane Booth, Robert Ern Jr., and Charles Hiott. BESH provides water/wastewater, public works, land and site development, and surveying services to private and public sector clients throughout Florida.

“We are thrilled to bring BESH, a firm known for its reputation of tremendous client service and quality, into the Halff family,” said Halff President/CEO Mark Edwards. “By joining forces, we will strengthen our growing water and wastewater practice — not only in Florida, but across our offices in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma.”

BESH also brings expertise in large, master-planned communities, public sector projects, and surveying to Halff's Florida operations. BESH currently employs 35 people.

“Our partnership with Halff will allow us to serve our clients and provide projects that benefit our communities on an entirely new scale,” Booth said. “It is exciting to know we can now bring even more services to our clients. I am confident the similarly aligned missions of BESH and Halff will lead to improving the quality of life for people we serve across the Southeast.”

Booth, who has more than 30 years of civil engineering experience, will serve as Operations Manager of the BESH Halff office, while Ern will serve as Director of Water/Wastewater and Hiott will serve as Director of Land Development.
