HNTB Names Schneider Inland Empire Group Leader

ONTARIO, CA — Craig Schneider, PE, TE, joins HNTB Corporation as Inland Empire Group Leader. He leads the growth of the firm’s operations to better serve regional transportation clients, including San Bernardino County Transportation Authority, California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) – District 8, Riverside County Transportation Commission, City of Ontario, Ontario International Airport and other cities and agencies in the Inland Empire.

“Craig’s broad range of public works transportation project experience and demonstrated leadership will help the office grow and better meet the needs of our clients,” said Wayne Feuerborn, HNTB West Division President. “We look forward to his leadership and management for important infrastructure projects in this robust and rapidly growing region.”

Schneider has more than 25 years of transportation engineering design experience in traffic control, transportation studies, communications system designs and design of intelligent transportation systems. He is familiar with regulations and guidelines of several regional clients, including Caltrans and various Southern California counties and cities.

Prior to joining HNTB, Schneider served as a Traffic Operations Engineering Manager specializing in Caltrans and public works transportation projects. He has extensive expertise in managed lanes and congestion pricing including I-15 Express Lanes Design Build Program Management for Riverside County Transportation Commission; I-5 North Managed Lanes Improvements project and I-10 and I-110 Congestion Pricing design-bid package for Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority; and traffic and roadway planning for proposed Los Angeles International Airport transportation facilities.

Schneider earned both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from San Jose State University. He is registered as both a Civil and Traffic Engineer in California. Schneider previously served as President of the Riverside-San Bernardino Section for the Institute of Transportation Engineers and is a member of the Orange County Traffic Engineering Council.
