HNTB's Atlanta Office Names Morgan as Office Leader, Broughton as Client Service Leader

ATLANTA, GA — HNTB Corporation names Tim Morgan, PE, as its Office Leader for the firm's Atlanta office and Darius Broughton as its new Metro Atlanta Client Service Leader.

A Senior Vice President, Morgan has 18 years of technical expertise and leadership experience in transportation infrastructure. He previously served as HNTB's Central States Office Leader and Oklahoma Practice Leader for the past five years.

Morgan leads more than 220 multidisciplinary professionals in Atlanta. Employees deliver bridge, aviation, toll, highway, transit, rail, planning, program/construction management, and other services to clients throughout the region.

“Tim brings a demonstrated track record of leading HNTB's most complex projects and organizing for success,” said Doug Allen, AICP, HNTB Southeast Division President. “His leadership skills, combined with deep technical knowledge and commitment to the communities we serve, are tremendous assets to our employees and clients.”

Morgan joined HNTB in 2004, serving as a Project Manager throughout the early portion of his tenure. He led projects for a wide range of clients, including state departments of transportation, toll authorities, and municipalities.

Morgan earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Missouri - Columbia. He is an active member of WTS; American Public Works Association; Society of American Military Engineers; American Society of Civil Engineers; American Council of Engineering Companies; and International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association. He is a registered Professional Engineer in four states.

Darius Broughton

As Metro Atlanta Client Service Leader, Broughton will work with the City of Atlanta, Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, MARTA, and the metro counties on current and future infrastructure needs.

With nearly two decades of experience in transportation, Broughton is an industry expert in multimodal solutions who will play a vital role in expanding the Atlanta office presence. As Client Service Leader, he will be responsible for overall service to key clients — from planning through delivery of projects — by leveraging HNTB's resources and technical expertise.

“Darius brings a depth of experience with our clients and as an engaged member of the community,” Morgan said.

Previously, Broughton served as Director of Program Management for another consulting firm in the region. He was responsible for the organization, implementation, and general management of capital improvement mega-programs. He also previously served the City of Atlanta as Project Controls Manager for the city's Department of Watershed Management's Inaugural Project Management Office.

Broughton earned his Master of Business Administration at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Science in bio-environmental engineering, Bachelor of Science in applied physics, and a certificate in waste management from Morehouse College/North Carolina A&T University. He also served as a Center of Excellence Certificate Program Mentor for the National Minority Supplier Development Council and an Instructor at the Construction Business Management Institute.
