Hunt Named President of HDR's Global Water Program

TAMPA, FL — HDR names Erin Hunt, P.E., to succeed Glen Ellmers as President of its global water practice, upon Ellmers' retirement in June. For the past three years, Hunt has served as Area Manager for HDR's operations in Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi. In her new role, she will focus on leading a water business program comprised of more than 1,600 HDR employees.
“Erin's technical expertise is matched by her proven ability to lead some of the most impactful water projects in our communities,” said Eric Keen, HDR Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “She has a unique ability to connect the right teams with clients to develop innovative solutions that improve lives. We look forward to her continued leadership at HDR and with those we serve.”
Hunt brings 23 years of industry experience, with a record of success as a Project Engineer, Project Manager, Section Manager, Business Development Leader, and Area Manager at HDR.
As Client and Project Manager for the Omaha Metropolitan Utilities District and the city of Lincoln, Nebraska, she helped deliver improvements to the 100-year-old Florence Water Treatment Plant and led planning efforts to improve the resiliency of Lincoln's water supply. As North Central Water Client Development leader, she helped grow market sectors and local water business programs across the region. Hunt is currently working on delivery of a reservoir project for the Peace River Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority. The work will enhance water supply in southwest Florida.
“I am looking forward to helping our teams create sustainable and resilient solutions,” Hunt said. “An increasingly complex environment requires us to be client focused, with quality work that continues to be on scope, schedule, and budget.”
