COLUMBIA, SC — Bentley Systems, Incorporated, a global provider of comprehensive software and digital twins services for advancing the design, construction and operations of infrastructure, recently announced its finalists in Bentley’s Year in Infrastructure 2019 Awards program. The annual awards program honors the work of Bentley software users advancing infrastructure design, construction and operations throughout the world. Twelve independent jury panels of industry experts selected the 54 finalists from 571 nominations submitted by more than 440 organizations in more than 60 countries.

The project named as a finalist in the Midwest Contractor area is:

Foth Infrastructure & Environment, LLC – Roads and Highways Category

Foth Transforms, Connects and Revitalizes Cedar Falls, Iowa Corridor – Cedar Falls, Iowa, United States

To improve roadway conditions and traffic flow, provide non-vehicular access and support economic growth, Cedar Falls initiated a revitalization project for University Avenue, which is more than 60 years old and serves 20,000 vehicles daily. Foth Infrastructure & Environment won the contract for the modernization project and used Bentley applications to reduce design phase time by 50 percent, allowing construction to begin a full year ahead of schedule.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony and gala on October 24 during Bentley’s Year in Infrastructure 2019 Conference, which will be held October 21 through 24 in Singapore at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre. The annual conference explores innovations in software technology enabling infrastructure project delivery and asset performance. The theme of this year’s conference is Advancing BIM through Digital Twins.
