OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. (KSM) has named Kevin Chastain as General Service Manager, expanding the company’s leadership team of industry professionals. Chastain will work to implement strategies that further the growth and development of all service operations, which include over 300 departmental employees across the company’s 11 branches in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas and Missouri.

“We are very excited that Kevin has joined our team here at KSM,” said Brad Campbell, Vice President of Product Support. “His long history with the Komatsu family of products and his broad depth of knowledge of the service industry will serve him well as we continue to provide our customers world class customer service.”

Chastain has nearly two decades of management experience related to equipment service and sales at both the distributor and manufacturer level, and he spent the last six years in various executive roles at Linder Industrial Machinery. Chastain brings a solid background in technical support to his new position and began his career as a Service Technician in Texas before being promoted to leadership positions such as Service Manager and Product Support Representative. He has served in several different management positions for Komatsu America Corp. related to mining sales, customer support and international service.

“I’m thankful to join the KSM Team and help continue to expand our service offerings as we successfully build the KSM brand through customer experience,” Chastain said. “Our goal is to be an indispensable resource to our customers as we navigate the ever-changing landscape of their needs. Henry Ford said, ‘You can’t build a reputation on what you are going to do.’ That means we must be deliberate and purposeful in our actions, finding ways to say ‘yes’ to our customers and solving their problems with mutually beneficial resolutions.”
