McLeod Cooperative Power Celebrates New Facility Ribbon Cutting

GLENCOE, MN — McLeod Cooperative Power (MCPA), Tegra Group, Brunton Architects and Engineers, and Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP) celebrate the ribbon cutting and open house of their new facility. The event featured remarks of thanks from key team members, an official ribbon cutting, and tours of the new facility.
“MCPA's new headquarters building came in under budget and ahead of schedule because of the strong partnership that came together with all the people involved to get it done,” said Ron Meier, MCPA Chief Executive Officer.
After several years of planning and 12 months of construction, the new MCPA came to fruition. The Cooperative now houses all operations under one roof with the ability to grow in the future. The 63,000-square-foot facility features an expansive lobby, 44,000 square feet of warehouse and vehicle storage, and 12,000 square feet of office and meeting space.
Several partners, including the City of Glencoe, Glencoe Light and Power Commission, McLeod Co-op Power Board of Directors, building committee members, and employees, all helped make the reality of this facility possible.
Founded in 1946, AP offers preconstruction and construction services to the commercial, education, health care, hospitality, industrial, multifamily, municipal, recreation, and senior living market segments. The company's leaders support an employee base of over 700 who work from offices in Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, Texas, and Wyoming.
