LAWRENCE, WI — McMahon, a full-service, professional engineering and architectural firm, designed the newly opened Impact Sports Academy (ISA), an elite indoor baseball and softball training facility located in the Town of Lawrence, just outside of Green Bay.

ISA is owned by former Major League Baseball pitcher Jason Berken. It offers year-round baseball and softball instruction and travel team programs for youth athletes.

The 42,000-square-foot facility has a complete baseball infield, batting cages, and a gym. Design features include 45-foot ceilings and a 4,000-square-foot performance center.

“The features and technologies in this facility are state-of-the-art,” said Matt Greely, Vice President and Senior Project Engineer at McMahon. “We designed this building to be functional for athletes, but also a comfortable space for families and spectators.”

An upper mezzanine area, furnished with tables and chairs, was designed to allow families to be present during training and offer support to athletes.

“The reward is two-fold. Not only did the entire team work with the Berkens to realize their dream, but this facility will also help the athletes reach their dreams,” said McMahon architect, Mike Martin.

McMahon completed this project with Bayland Buildings, Inc.
