TAMPA, FL — Modjeski and Masters (M&M), a company focusing on the design, inspection, and rehabilitation of all bridge types, including long-span and movable structures, announces the firm's expansion into Florida following the hiring of Regional Director Wael Odeh, PE.

Odeh brings his experience overseeing bridge and highway design projects to M&M's operations in Florida and the surrounding region. Throughout his career, Odeh has worked on projects throughout the state, covering all levels from scoping and location studies, to inspection, to final design. His experience includes overseeing design-build and conventional road and interchange design projects.

"We have been focused on establishing a presence in Florida and hiring Mr. Wael Odeh makes that goal a reality," said Michael F. Britt, M&M's President and CEO. "He has extensive experience in the Florida transportation market and a well-established network in the region. We are very excited to have the opportunity to build a solid presence in the Florida transportation market and feel Mr. Odeh is the right person for the job."

Odeh has been part of local projects including the Florida Department of Transportation Continuous Services Contract District 1, Ramp I Flyover, Ramp G over 1-4 Bridge, and US 92 Bridge over Baker Canal. A graduate from the University of South Florida - Tampa, Odeh holds a bachelor's and master's degree in civil engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Florida and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

"Modjeski and Masters' experience in the design and inspection of complex bridges, especially movable bridges, and the strong reputation of excellence in the design of structures were major driving factors to join the firm and to take on this challenging role of representing M&M in the Florida market," Wael said.
