New General Manager Appointed for Terex Cranes Americas

WILMINGTON, NC — Terex Cranes announces the appointment of Andreas Ernst to the position of General Manager Cranes, Americas.
“I am very pleased that Andreas Ernst has joined Terex Cranes as General Manager for Americas, bringing his experience in leading successful teams with a strong customer focus," said Marco Gentilini, Vice President and General Manager, Tower Cranes. "This represents another meaningful step forward in our strategy of investing in our Tower and Rough Terrain Cranes businesses with a specific focus on the American market."
Ernst will be based in the Wilmington, North Carolina, office and will assume responsibility for the Terex Rough Terrain, Tower Crane, and Pick and Carry business across the Americas region, including sales, service, and business development.
Ernst joins Terex from Steinert, where he was President of the North American region for almost three years, providing a range of sorting systems to the scrap, recycling, and mining industry. Prior to that, Ernst had a long career with Sennebogen, selling and marketing Material Handling products across the Americas. Ernst began his career in Germany in Sales and Marketing, moving to the U.S. in 2006.
“I am excited to join Terex Cranes Americas, a company that embodies my core values — putting the customer first, always keeping your word, and supporting passion, diversity, and real innovation," Ernst said. "Together with the impressing support team in Wilmington, North Carolina, and other Terex locations, we are continuing to develop an increased focus on individual needs of specific industry sectors within the crane market segment."
Ernst's appointment represents the next stage in Terex Cranes growth strategy with renewed focus on the Americas market.
“America is our natural market and that represents only the first step to ensure we keep being a leading company in the lifting industry in all our product lines," said Kieran Hegarty, Terex MP President.
