MINNEAPOLIS, MN — SEH Associate and Senior Professional Engineer Lindsey Roberts McKenzie has been awarded the 2020 Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Tudor Medal. This honor is given to an individual 39 or younger who has made outstanding contributions in engineering, design, construction, research, development, or planning, also demonstrating leadership in managing projects or organizations.

"Lindsey is an excellent example of an ambitious and talented engineer," said Brad Woznak, SEH Principal and Project Manager. "Her leadership skills and commitment to continue working to expand opportunities for women in engineering through professional development and mentoring are exceptional."

A collective of more than 30,000 members, SAME leads collaborative efforts to identify and resolve national security infrastructure-related challenges. The membership organization unites public and private sector individuals and organizations from across the architecture, engineering, construction, environmental and facility management, cybersecurity, project planning, contracting and acquisition, and related disciplines supporting national security.

An active SAME member submits a nomination, then an objective panel votes. Roberts McKenzie was nominated by a member of SAME - Minneapolis/St. Paul Post (SAME-MSP). She is an active member with SAME-MSP, currently serves as President, and recently completed a five-year term serving in additional roles — including Vice President and Treasurer.

Roberts McKenzie is also an active member of the Society of Women Engineers and currently serves on their Board of Directors as Society Treasurer and has served in multiple leadership roles at the local and society level since 2001.

Roberts McKenzie joined SEH in 2006 and serves as a Project Manager and Federal Procurement Lead. She is also a Founder of the SEH Women in STEM employee resource group and encourages her colleagues to mentor and advocate for others.
