INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Katie Robinson joins CORE Planning Strategies as a Project Manager.

CORE Planning Strategies is a program management firm that helps organizations facilitate successful transformations, whether it's a facility, redevelopment project, or process improvement initiative.

Robinson has nearly 20 years of experience in the Indianapolis community, including several years working for the City of Indianapolis. Most recently, she served on Mayor Joseph Hogsett's cabinet as Director of the Office of Sustainability. In that role, Robinson developed and led Indianapolis' sustainability, resilience, and “smart city” efforts, including the THRIVE Indianapolis and It's My City initiatives.

“CORE's leadership and expertise have influenced some of the most important projects in Indianapolis,” Robinson said. “I'm looking forward to applying my passion for community impact to this new role.”

“Katie brings experience in government relations, sustainability, and economic development, along with proven abilities to build consensus, form strategic alliances, and influence decisions,” said Debra Kunce, FAIA, LEED AP, Managing Principal at CORE Planning Strategies. “Her knowledge of how cities operate and her understanding of what it takes to complete projects successfully make Katie a great fit for CORE, given our focus on transforming communities.”

Robinson is a Board Member for both the Irsay Family YMCA at City Way and a member of the sustainability committee for the NBA All-Star 2021 Host Committee. She has a Bachelor of Arts in political science and sociology from Purdue University and holds certificates from the Oklahoma University Economic Development Institute and The Fundraising School at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. She is also a graduate of the American Institute for Managing Diversity's Diversity Leadership Academy, the Urban Sustainability Directors Network Equity Course, and Dale Carnegie Training.
