BOSTON, MA — Skanska announces the appointment of Christopher Westley to Senior Vice President (SVP) of Strategic Services. In this new role, Westley will lead Skanska USA Commercial Development's innovative strategic services team in addition to continuing to lead the company’s communications and marketing across U.S. markets.

As head of the strategic services team, Westley will identify potential strategic partnership and industry trends with an emphasis toward recognizing future business and customer needs. He will also oversee the directors and teams focused on innovation, sustainability, and technology that help facilitate the company’s ability to continually add value to Skanska projects as well as further the industry through the development of new offerings and solutions.

Westley is based out of Boston, Massachusetts. As SVP of Strategic Services, Westley will serve as a member of the company’s senior leadership team reporting to Robert Ward, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Skanska USA Commercial Development.

Former Skanska USA Commercial Development Chief Operating Officer (COO) David Schmidt has served as the Interim SVP of Strategic Services. Westley will work with Schmidt and the senior leadership team as he transitions into the role.

Westley has served as Vice President of Marketing for Skanska USA Commercial Development for the past five years, where he established a national marketing team that supports national initiatives, local teams, and projects across more than 10 million square feet of assets in key markets. Prior to joining Skanska in 2016, Westley operated a national real estate consultancy based in Los Angeles, providing clients, including Skanska, with comprehensive marketing strategies for sales, naming, and branding, and messaging and positioning of residential, commercial, and mixed-use assets.
