Smith joins Olsson after spending 15 years working in construction in the Kansas City area. Most recently, he served as Safety Manager and led a team of five safety and health professionals for a large construction company. In this role, he drove the organization’s safety culture, ensuring all employees were as secure as possible.

Though Smith has been based in Kansas City, he has overseen safety projects throughout North America.
“I’m excited to spearhead Olsson’s commitment to safety,” Smith said. “I look forward to working with our teams to ensure everyone receives the proper support and necessary training so we can continue to provide excellent service in a safe manner to our clients.”

Smith received a bachelor’s degree in safety management from Central Missouri State University. He is a Construction Health and Safety Technician licensed by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
Olsson is a nationally recognized engineering firm. The firm offers design and consulting services in planning and design, engineering, field services, environmental, and technology.
