Snyder Receives ACEC Coalitions Distinguished Service Award

ROCKVILLE, MD — Dewberry’s Michael Snyder, PE, recently received the American Council of Engineering Companies’ (ACEC) Coalitions Distinguished Service Award during its fall conference in Chicago, Illinois.

Snyder has been a leader in ACEC activities for more than a decade, specifically in the Land Development Coalition. He has been involved in the Land Development Executive Committee for more than five years and is the immediate past Chair and the immediate past Coalitions Leaders Chair. In addition, he is involved in the organization’s Coalition of Professional Surveyors, the Design Professional Coalition and a member of its Strategic Planning Committee.

Snyder is a Senior Vice President and the Site/Civil Service Line Leader at Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, where he has been working for nearly 35 years. Additionally, he serves as the Land Development Department Manager in the firm’s Rockville, Maryland, office. Snyder draws on his 37 years of experience in land development to oversee projects for Dewberry’s wide variety of clients, including those in the private, public and state and local markets.

In addition to his service with ACEC, Snyder is a member of the Maryland Building Industry Association and both the Prince George’s and Howard County Chamber of Commerce’s. He graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (1981).
