Stantec Bolsters US Federal Program with Addition of French as Federal Major Programs Capture Leader

ST. LOUIS, MO — Global design firm Stantec has expanded its U.S. Federal Program with the strategic hire of Michelle French, CIH, as Federal Major Programs Capture Leader (MPCL). This addition enhances the firm's ability to serve its federal clients and support the broader objectives of Stantec's federal strategy.
French brings nearly 30 years of experience in overseeing major projects for a variety of federal organizations, including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Naval Facilities Engineering Command, and the U.S. Air Force, among others. Her knowledge of federal and military projects and programs will allow Stantec to further improve the services it provides to its clients.
“As we advance our mission of strategic Federal Program growth centered on exceptional project delivery, we are confident that Michelle's expertise and proven success in building trusted client relationships will perfectly complement our team,” said Chris Williams, Senior Vice President for Stantec's U.S. Federal Program. “We're thrilled to welcome her to Stantec.”
As the federal MPCL working in Stantec's St. Louis office, French is responsible for leading and capturing major program opportunities across the firm's federal client accounts and business markets worldwide. Throughout her career, she has built a track record of technical project delivery, market growth, and business development for large architecture and engineering firms. In her previous position, she led her firm's federal market to its best two performance years, growing sales by 108 percent and 169 percent in consecutive years.
French is well versed in business development and capture management, having secured large projects with a broad range of federal organizations. This work includes a $950-million design and construction contract for the Air Force Civil Engineer Center, a $200-million Security, Disaster, Infrastructure, and Construction contract for the USACE Omaha District, and a $225-million Design Build multiple award task order contract for the USACE Galveston District.
French earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physics and mathematics from Centre College of Kentucky. Additionally, she holds master's degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology and Central Missouri State University.
