TxDOT Names Collins New Beaumont Area Engineer

BEAUMONT, TX — Dave Collins, P.E., was recently announced as the Beaumont Area Engineer for the Beaumont District of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). This area manages the counties of Jefferson, Hardin, and Orange in the eight counties of the Beaumont District. The office currently oversees more than $580 million in construction projects.
Dave graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1996. He began his TxDOT career in 1995 as a Summer Hand in the Silsbee Area Office and has spent over 25 years at TxDOT in numerous roles throughout the Beaumont District including managing the construction of the district's first Segmental Bridge, the IH10 Trinity River Bridge in Wallisville. Before his current role, he worked in the District Construction Office.
