William Baker Company Celebrates 50 years in Business

INDIANAPOLIS – 2022 marks a milestone for William Baker Company. In 1972 William (Bill) Baker started his one-man manufacturers' representative agency with probably no thought in mind that 50 years later it would represent some of the best-known manufacturers, have third generation ownership, and work out of a new living showroom/office on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

William Baker Company is glad Bill Baker had the guts to start the business, as well as to have his son Jim to lead the way, and his two granddaughters to carry it on!

“They say 50 is the new 40 but we don't mind our age. In fact, we embrace it. With years comes; what we know makes the difference”, said Jim Baker, President of William Baker Company. “We've been in the commercial building products business for a very long time and have seen trends, recessions, and pandemics come and go. We continue to answer the phone, respond in a timely fashion, and make jobsite visits to support our designers, contractors, and building owners.”

Now in their 50th year, William Baker Company is excited to be in their new office space that showcases their manufacturers' products throughout a living showroom. The company invites visitors at 7480 Shadeland Station Way, Indianapolis.
