ST. LOUIS, MO — McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. (McCarthy) has begun construction on a new 17-acre equipment and warehouse distribution facility in Maryland Heights, Missouri. The new McCarthy Equipment Operations Hub signals an essential investment to support the company’s projected growth for the Central Region and to meet the expanding pipeline of large-scale, complex projects.
The new Equipment Operations Hub will span nearly 740,520 square feet and is designed to support McCarthy’s growing self-perform capabilities. Located in the new 141 Logistics Center development, the site includes a 9.5-acre equipment yard and a 66,400-square-foot building that will include a 32,000-square-foot warehouse, 10,000-square-foot equipment maintenance shop, and two-story, 24,400-square-foot office space. The facility will also include areas for team training, and its flexible design will support future expansion.
Scheduled for completion in 2026, the Equipment Operations Hub will streamline critical resources to enhance McCarthy’s delivery of construction services across its 28-state Central Region, which includes offices in St. Louis and Kansas City, Missouri, as well as Omaha, Nebraska. The facility will support not only local commercial construction projects but also all of the region’s water/wastewater, industrial facilities, infrastructure, and power projects.
In addition to its operational advantages, the facility is designed with flexibility to support workforce development, hands-on training, and community engagement. Dedicated spaces will be adaptable for craft training, prefabrication workshops, and educational programs that help prepare the next generation of construction professionals.
“We are proud to welcome McCarthy’s new Equipment Operations Hub to Maryland Heights,” said Mike Moeller, Mayor of Maryland Heights. “McCarthy’s investment is a testament to the strength and potential of our community. This facility not only brings new jobs to the area but also reinforces Maryland Heights as a prime location for long-term economic growth. We’re excited about the positive momentum this project creates and the future investment it will inspire throughout our region.”

“As construction projects grow in scale and complexity, the new McCarthy Equipment Operations Hub will serve as a vital engine for innovation and execution,” said Ryan Sawall, CEO of McCarthy’s Central Region. “It will support our expanding capacity in key areas such as prefabrication, self-perform work, advanced construction technologies, and logistics, enabling us to serve our clients with greater innovation, speed, and value.”
As part of McCarthy’s long-term hometown growth strategy, the new Maryland Heights facility builds on more than a century of company roots in St. Louis and reflects a deepened commitment to regional reinvestment. Situated in a designated industrial development area, the facility is better suited to meet the company’s expanding operational needs, which have outgrown its current leased property in Ladue, Missouri, which has been in use since the mid-1960s.
“The Equipment Operations Hub is a launchpad for McCarthy’s next phase of growth,” said Josh Gaghen, McCarthy Vice President and St. Louis Business Unit Leader. “By consolidating operations and expanding our technical capabilities, we’re equipping our teams with the tools, space, and technology they need to deliver exceptional results for clients faster and more efficiently than ever before.”
