PHOENIX, AZ — Burns & McDonnell announces new leadership appointments in the Southwest for Josh Ahrens, Brandon Graves, and Matt Williams.

Ahrens has been promoted to lead the Power Group in the Southwest Region for Burns & McDonnell. Since joining the firm in 2006, Ahrens has held a variety of leadership roles, most recently serving as Solar Engineering Manager, where he led a national team of engineers in executing solar infrastructure projects across the U.S. He has been instrumental in expanding the firm’s solar practice, fostering collaboration across the full spectrum of power services. In his new role, Ahrens will focus on leading teams in both engineer-procure-construct (EPC) and non-EPC delivery methods in providing power infrastructure solutions.

Graves has been promoted to lead both the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) and Construction groups in the Southwest Region. Graves joined Burns & McDonnell in 2016 as an EPC Project Manager and most recently served as Director of EPC for the T&D Group’s substation and renewables business lines. In this new position, Graves will oversee both groups, with a focus on expanding the firm’s EPC capabilities, delivering integrated solutions for utility and energy clients throughout the region.

Williams has joined the firm and has been named Practice Manager for the Environmental Services Group in the Southwest Region. Williams brings experience managing complex environmental and water infrastructure projects for a range of clients in the mining, defense, federal, and private sector industries. Williams will lead a team focused on permitting, cultural resources, and environmental compliance. He will also support the group’s capabilities in water treatment, mining, and remediation across the region. His leadership will be key in expanding the firm’s environmental services offering for clients throughout the Southwest.
