Sundt Construction Appoints Hoover President and CEO

TEMPE, AZ Sundt Construction, Inc. announces that the company's President, G. Michael Hoover, assumed the additional role of Chief Executive Officer. As President and CEO, Hoover leads the 126-year-old general contractor known for its commitment to quality and innovative approaches to transportation, industrial and building projects throughout the West.
Hoover replaces former CEO David S. Crawford, who retired after nearly 50 years with the company.
Prior to becoming President of Sundt in October 2015, Hoover served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In that role he managed the company's building, transportation, mining and industrial, concrete, safety and quality control groups.
A former chairman of the Highway and Transportation Division of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), Hoover is active on several boards of directors, including the AGC - Arizona Chapter, The Road Information Program (TRIP) and the Beavers, a national heavy civil organization. He is a member of the Greater Phoenix Leadership and serves on the Board of Directors of the Sundt Companies and is an Executive Committee member of Sundt Construction.
A 30-year industry veteran, Hoover began his construction career in 1978 upon graduating from high school, and soon afterward earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Arizona in Tucson.
