Armstrong Joins HR Green Building Department Services Team

CORONA, CA HR Green announces that Paul Armstrong has joined the company as a Group Leader for the Governmental Services business line providing leadership to the company's Building Department services.Â
"Paul will be a great asset to our growing Building Department Services team and will help us with our expansion in both new and current markets," said George A. Wentz, Vice President, Governmental Services business line.
With more than 30 years of building safety management experience, Armstrong teaches regularly for California Building Officials (CALBO) and has developed a number of CALBO training courses. As a Chief Building Official he managed building plan review, counter assistance, and inspection for Southern California agencies. Additionally, Armstrong was responsible for development of new business for inspection and plan review services for jurisdictions across the United States.Â
His experience at International Code Council (ICC) includes leading the Architectural and Engineering Services Department, International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO) Technical Services Department, and he was also the original drafting secretariat for development of the 2000 International Residential Code.
Armstrong earned his Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from California State University, Long Beach, and has received numerous awards including CALBO Instructor of the Year and CALBO Course Developer Merit Award. Â
He has participated on various local, statewide and national committees including the ICC Residential Energy Code Development Committee, the ICC Building Official Membership Council, Governing Committee, the CALBO State Code Committee, and the CALBO Building/Fire Advisory Committee.Â
Armstrong will primarily be located in HR Green's Corona, California, office.e
