Stantec Welcomes Ferguson to its Acoustics Practice

SAN FRANCISCO, CA Tracie Ferguson joins Stantec as a Senior Acoustical Consultant with 20 years of experience in acoustics. She is responsible for providing acoustic analysis and designs for many different project types, including sound isolation, room acoustics, MEP noise and vibration control, and environmental noise considerations. She will also work to win new acoustics work and help grow the acoustics practice in California and beyond. She is based in the San Francisco, California, office.

"Tracie is an exciting addition to our acoustics team," said Basel Jurdy, Principal and Acoustics Discipline Leader. "Her knowledge and expertise in noise and vibration control over a wide range of project types bolsters our practice significantly and supports our continued growth."

In Ferguson's previous post, she supported projects of varying types, including multifamily residential, healthcare, hospitality, conference centers, judicial and justice, and corporate projects. In addition, she supported and mentored junior staff, and was involved in business development efforts.

Currently, Ferguson is providing acoustics design on University of California Davis student housing projects, Dignity Health Neuroscience Tower, renovation work for Kaiser, and PLACE St. Louis Park, a residential building in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Ferguson earned a Master's degree in acoustics from The Pennsylvania State University. She holds a Bachelor of Music with Outside Field degree from Ithaca College in New York. She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Noise Control Engineering.
