Scarborough Joins Freese And Nichols In Houston
HOUSTON, TX Freese and Nichols, Inc. welcomes industry veteran Jeff Scarborough as an Account Director in its Houston, Texas, office. In this role, Scarborough will leverage 20 years of business development expertise to help expand the firm's capabilities to support federal and state agencies.
Before joining Freese and Nichols, Scarborough served as Division Manager of Special Projects at an established civil engineering firm. In this role, he successfully built a diversified architecture-engineering unit from the ground up, led contract acquisition strategies, negotiated joint venture partnerships, developed proposals and coordinated SF330 submittals, and managed projects. Scarborough launched his career as a geographic information system (GIS) specialist, applying GIS solutions to solve environmental issues.
Scarborough has worked on projects for numerous federal, state and county agencies, including the United States Army Corps of Engineers, United States International Boundary and Water Commission, Texas Department of Transportation and the West Harris County Regional Water Authority.
In his role at Freese and Nichols, Scarborough will apply his knowledge of business-to-business relationships to seek out opportunities to partner with federal and state agencies, particularly with military bases. In addition to creating and managing the proposal process, he will also be actively involved with industry conferences and organizations.
Scarborough earned a bachelor's degree in applied geography and planning from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, now known as Texas State University. He is an active member in the Society of American Military Engineers, Project Management Institute and Society for Marketing Professional Services.
