OKLAHOMA CITY, OK  Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. announces the promotion of David Baker to Senior Vice President and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Branch Manager.

The Senior Vice President is a highly visible position central to the profitability and sustained growth of Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. This role will balance corporate project management with strategic collaboration between the board of directors, executives, and company leaders. As Senior Vice President, Baker will also hold primary oversight regarding implementation of business systems, and manage the operations of the company's IT Department. As the Oklahoma City Branch Manager, Baker will be responsible to ensure the success of branch operations related to strategic planning, sales growth, customer service, and problem resolution.  He will also be in charge of all facilities management for all Kirby-Smith locations.

David Baker has been with Kirby-Smith Machinery for more than 22 years, having started in the industry at Brandeis Machinery in Kentucky.  He came to work for KSMI as a General Service Manager, and later served as Branch Manager for Kirby-Smith Machinery's Tulsa, Oklahoma, location. After successful stints in both roles, Baker was promoted to Vice President of Product Support, where he has successfully served the company for 15 years.

"After many years of dedication, the growth of the company has led to the need for this new position," said Ed Kirby, President for Kirby-Smith Machinery. "After years of leading the product support group, David's expertise has continually improved our profitability and high level of customer satisfaction. We expect this new Senior Vice President role will provide the necessary synergy and growth we need to provide more insight into new, innovative products and services.
