SMRP Celebrates 5,000 Member Milestone
ATLANTA, GA — The Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP), the global leader in maintenance, reliability and physical asset management, announces it has reached 5,000 members.
The 5,000th member marks another recent milestone in growth for SMRP. Last year, SMRP held its largest annual conference to-date, hosting over 1,000 attendees in Cincinnati, Ohio, for three days of networking, educational workshops and facility tours. As SMRP's membership continues to grow, so have the opportunities to become involved in the society at every level.
"This milestone is truly an incredible achievement for our membership, staff and Board of Directors," said Bob Kazar, Chair of SMRP. "As the society continues this exponential growth, the maintenance, reliability and physical asset management profession will increasingly be at the forefront of decisions made by global companies."
Over the course of its 25-year existence, SMRP has grown to be the premier resource for practitioners serving industries vital to the global economy. SMRP's international membership consists of individual professionals, business owners, companies and students, all of whom bring unique experiences and skillsets that help SMRP develop programs and opportunities to benefit its audiences.
"Our goal has always been to advance our profession, regardless of industry, and to provide our members with the opportunity to share their knowledge and learn from others," said Kazar. "Thanks to all of the volunteers within the society, we can continue to offer the best opportunities to learn."
SMRP provides a variety of programs and opportunities for practitioners to advance their careers, from local chapters and Shared Interest Groups (SIGs) to monthly webinar presentations and a student scholarship program. The Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals Certifying Organization (SMRPCO) gives members and nonmembers the chance to earn globally recognized certifications that provide real-world knowledge and designations.
