Walbridge Selected to Receive National AGC Safety Award
DETROIT, MI The Associated General Contractors (AGC) has named Walbridge one of 17 Michigan companies to receive a 2014 National AGC Safety Award in the Building Division category for 50,000-plus work hours with a zero lost-time incident rate.
The National AGC Safety Awards (NASA) program evaluates the safety records of AGC member companies against peers of similar size and service from across the country. Winners of the NASA program are evaluated based on three consecutive years of participation, showing either a zero incidence rate or a workday case incident rate of 25 percent or below the overall division rate. This means company safety records from 2011, 2012 and 2013 were considered in determining the 2014 NASA winners.
Walbridge received a National AGC Safety Award in 2011 based on participation in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
"Our organization is honored to receive this latest recognition," said John Rakolta, Jr., Walbridge Chairman and CEO. "Our commitment to keeping our employees and our subcontractors focused on safety remains unwavering."
The 2014 NASA winners were recognized at AGC of Michigan's 2015 Safety Award Luncheon at Eagle Eye Golf & Banquet Center in Bath, Michigan.
