MAA Names Wilson as New Chairman of the Board
LANSING, MI The Michigan Aggregates Association (MAA) recently named Robert W. Wilson Chairman of the Board. Wilson, Vice President of Mid Michigan Materials, has been an active member of the Association and Board of Directors for a number of years.
As Vice President of Mid Michigan Materials, Wilson is responsible for operations, quality control, financial affairs, and is involved with all strategic planning and oversight for the business. The company was started by Wilson's great-grandfather, uncle, and grandfather in 1962 and has been run by a member of the family ever since. Wilson has worked in various capacities during breaks from school and holidays and took on a full-time position at Mid Michigan Materials in 2006.
He graduated in 2005 from Northwood University with a BBA in automotive marketing and management. In 2006, he completed his MBA from Northwood's DeVos Graduate School.
Wilson is also a member of the MAA Specifications Committee and Government Affairs Committee. He currently sits on the Board of Governors for Northwood University and the Board of Directors for the Blue Water YMCA, where he is the chair of the Open Arms Campaign. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Yale, Michigan, Blue Water Young Professionals in Port Huron, Michigan, and the Community Capital Club of the Community Foundation of St. Clair County. Previously, he served as the District Chair for the Blue Water District of the Boy Scouts of America.
Wilson and his wife, Megan, live in Fort Gratiot, Michigan. They have two sons, Levi and Noah.
