LENEXA, KS Experienced entrepreneur and business development professional Reese McClain has been hired to manage day-to-day operations of Shafer, Kline & Warren's (SKW) expanded offerings for the oil and gas industry.

Renowned for engineering and land surveying services since 1950, SKW hires Reese McClain as the Managing Director of its Pipeline Integrity and Construction department.

An experienced entrepreneur with an extensive background in corrosion control and business development, McClain will manage the day-to-day operations and customer relationship cultivation for SKW's newest team.

"Reese has the technical background and entrepreneurial resolve to help SKW evolve and to continue to promote innovation," said Brandon Pipesh, Vice President of Pipeline Integrity and Construction. "His business development strategy is very consistent with SKW's model of forming partnerships, delivering results."

SKW launched its construction services group in October to meet a growing client demand for pipeline integrity services. By offering a single source solution for pipeline excavation, inspection and installation services, SKW is able to offer clients increased efficiency and convenience for integrity projects, including anomaly digs, AC mitigation, hydrostatic testing, cathodic protection and MAOP validation.

"What interested me most was the opportunity to help SKW build up its new offering within the energy sector," McClain said. "SKW has the support, infrastructure and experience to be very successful in this area."

McClain's previous experience includes 12 years as a business owner, and three years as Director of Sales for Allied Corrosion Industries. Originally from Marietta, Georgia, McClain studied business management at Samford University. McClain lives in Leawood, Kansas, with his wife and three children.
