O&G Industries Wins CAAPA Award for Excellence in Asphalt Quality

TORRINGTON, CT O&G Industries received a 2014 Connecticut Asphalt & Aggregate Producers Association (CAAPA) Award in the Unlimited-Access Roadway category. The annual CAAPA awards highlight excellence in quality for pavement placed in Connecticut.

The award was presented to O&G's asphalt supply operations for their support of the Christian Street paving project in Oxford, Connecticut. "We take great pride in the quality of the asphalt mixes we produce, and are proud to be involved with subcontractors such as A&J who served as the General Contractor, Guerrera Construction and the Connecticut Department of Transportation. to fulfill their construction materials needs" said Brad Oneglia, O&G's Vice President of Asphalt Sales and Operations and current CAAPA Vice President.

In addition to O&G's recognition, A&J Construction of Brookfield, Connecticut, was recognized as the project-paving contractor while the Connecticut DOT's District 4 office in Thomaston was recognized for their inspection services on the project.

The award was presented at the 57th Annual CAAPA Paving Conference in North Haven, Connecticut. Winners were selected by the Connecticut DOT.
