T&K Asphalt Services, Inc., Names Rose as President
WHITMAN, MA, , named of Avon, Massachusetts, to serve as the company's President.
Rose, whose industry experience spans nearly four decades, joined T&K Asphalt in 2013 as Managing Partner and then was quickly named Chief Operating Officer. He will continue to serve as Chief Operating Officer but now takes on an expanded role with the company. In his capacity as President, he will lead the company's Senior Management Team and work with the company's Advisory Board to help shape and direct the future growth of the company. T&K Asphalt Services has served the commercial and residential paving needs of the region since 1987.
Rose will work closely with the T&K Senior management team, which includes , Chief Financial Officer; and , Vice Presidents of Sales; , Vice President of Plant and Equipment; , Vice President, Safety and Training; and , Chief Estimator and IT Director. The senior management team has more than 50 years' industry experience at T&K.
Prior to joining T&K Asphalt Services, Rose held the position of Vice President of Construction Operations at Lorusso Corporation in Plainville, Massachusetts. He is also the former Vice President of Operations for P.A. Landers, and his rÃ©sumÃ© includes work with McKay Sand & Gravel, and Henley-Lundgren. While with Henley-Lundgren, one of his responsibilities was helping build sections of Route 495 in the Mansfield, Norton, and Raynham areas, as well as portions of Route 25, the highway that leads to Cape Cod. Rose studied at Quinsigamond Community College, and immediately, post-college, he worked in the restaurant industry before moving into the field of construction.
Rose and his wife, Paula, are residents of Avon, Massachusetts. He is active in his community, now in his 10th year as a member of the Board of Selectmen in Avon. Prior to that, he served on the town's Planning Board for 15 years.
"Steve is a can-do, take-charge person who has served T&K in an exemplary fashion as our Chief Operating Officer, and I know that he will serve our company and our customers well in his new and expanded role," T&K Asphalt CEO said. "He is battle-tested and has the right experience and leadership capabilities to take T&K forward."
Gosnell, separately, told his employees, vendors and community partners this week that he would continue to have a role with the company but with less focus on the day-to-day operations. Gosnell has held ownership interests in several other companies and, increasingly over the last year, he has worked on turning over the day-to-day operation of the company to his senior management team. Additionally, Gosnell recently has been diagnosed with ALS or Lou Gehrig's Disease and said he will want to spend time on his treatment plan, with his family, and with organizations seeking to find a cure for the disease.

T&K is in excellent hands, and I look forward to seeing it continue to grow and prosper."
