HARTFORD, CT O&G Industries, Connecticut's largest privately held construction company, recently completed construction of a new entrance at the historic Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Hartford, Connecticut. A ceremony led by Archbishop Leonard P. Blair was held to bless and dedicate the new addition.

The new three-story entrance adds 3,000 square feet of space to the existing building. The expansion includes a circular passenger drop off area, accessible from Asylum Avenue with handicap access to a new elevator system. In addition, new restroom facilities, storage space and drinking fountains were added to meet the Cathedral's 2,000 person capacity.

Work on the project began in October 2014. Pepin Associates was the project architect and O&G was the construction manager.

O&G recently completed several Greater Hartford area building construction projects including upgrades at Hartford's Union Station, the new Admissions Building for Miss Porter's School, an interior renovation at St. Francis Hospital's Comprehensive Women's Health Center and construction of the CREC Academy of Aerospace and Engineering in Windsor.
