McCarthy Ranked No. 17 in Solar Power World's Top 500 Solar Contractors List

PHOENIX, AZ McCarthy was again named to Solar Power World's Top 500 Solar Contractors list and was ranked 17, moving up 16 spots from the 2014 list, which only included 400 contractors. Last year, McCarthy's Renewable Energy team installed approximately 133 megawatts in communities throughout the west.
The list ranks applicants according to influence in the residential, commercial and utility solar installation markets. McCarthy also ranked 14 in the 2015 Top Solar Utility Contractors list.
"Today, solar is the fastest-growing source of renewable energy in America," said Rhone Resch, President and CEO of the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA). "There are 20 GW of installed solar capacity in the United States, enough to power more than 4 million homes - and we're going to double both those numbers by the end of next year. This simply wouldn't be possible without the effort, hard work and creativity of these Top 500 Solar Contractors."
Solar Power World magazine is a bi-monthly publication reaching an audience of 15,000 professionals involved in manufacturing, installation, contracting, racking and mounting, policy, inverter technology and solar innovation. The publication is a premier resource for professionals in the solar industry and covers solar news and trends with a focus on technology, development and installation.
McCarthy's Renewable Energy team is currently in the process of designing and installing 12 large-scale utility solar projects for a total of more than 500 megawatts around the country. In addition to large-scale PV installations in Arizona, California, Texas, Colorado, Arkansas, Nevada, Utah, and Missouri, McCarthy has also worked with various school districts and universities throughout the west to install smaller-scale solar projects on school rooftops and parking structures.
"Our Renewable Energy team at McCarthy has been working on solar installations for more than a decade. We have successfully completed 8 utility solar projects," said Scott Canada, Vice President of the Renewable Energy team at McCarthy. "We're pleased to be included in this list once again and to continue our work with the companies developing solar projects across the U.S."
