Skanska Awarded Aligned Data Center Project in Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ Â Skanska, one of the world's leading construction and development firms, starts construction for Aligned Data Centers' Phoenix, Arizona, facility located at 2500 W. Union Hills Drive in north Phoenix. The 550,000-square-foot, 65-megawatt facility will be one of the largest data centers in Arizona and will offer the industry's first offer pay-for-use model to enterprises and service providers looking to reduce risk and improve control of their data center.
The first phase of the project will be built to Tier III reliability standards and includes 150,000 square feet of data center build-out to accommodate up to 14 megawatts of critical power and cooling with approximately 25,000 square feet of high-end office space. The mechanical and electrical plant has been engineered to reduce energy waste and consists of redundant generators, medium voltage uninterruptable power supply, static transfer switches, distribution gear, and the Inertech cooling infrastructure. Aligned Data Centers will be guaranteeing 1.15 Power Usage Effectiveness for its clients to help them reduce their monthly power bill.
